Matric Rewrite

In order to register for our Matric Rewrite Course, you must be:

In possession of your Matric Certificate. It can be a passed, failed, or incomplete Matric Certificate.
Over the age of 21. Our Matric Rewrite Course is for adult students who want to improve their Matric results. Students who complete this course will write the Senior Certificate exam.
Able to study from home. We are a distance learning College, so you will not attend any classes.
Proficient in English. Our courses are offered in English, so you will need to read, write, and understand English in order to make the best out of the study material we send you.

Matric Upgrade

Our Matric Upgrade is perfect for those over the age of 21 who are interested in:

Improving their marks
Changing their subjects
Adding new subjects to their Matric Certificate

Here are the entry requirements for our Matric Upgrade Course:

You must be over the age of 21. This is because you will write the Senior Certificate (Amended) exam with other Adult Matric students.
You must have completed Matric before and have a Matric Certificate as proof.
You must have the ability to read, write and understand English.

Our Short Courses

These are short, skills-based courses that are aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to perform day-to-day tasks in the workplace. There is also an opportunity for them to become self-employed by starting their own businesses.

Students can enrol in our Short Courses whether or not they have Matric. The only requirements are that they have to be older than 16 and be able to study and complete their assignments in English.

Skills Academy is a partner in the delivery of our Short Courses.

Another great thing about our Short Courses is that there are no formal tests or exams to write. Students will only be required to complete and submit assignments.

They will then receive a Certificate of Completion once they submit all their assignments and finish their tasks.

Can I Complete A Short Course In 6 Months?

Yes, you can! The duration of our Short Courses ranges from 2 to 12 months. It all depends on how quickly you are able to complete and submit your assignments.

We have seven (7) different NATED streams that students can enter. They are:

The great thing about our NATED Courses is that you can register to study even if you got the lowest Matric Pass. As long as you pass Matric, you will be allowed to study a course that will help you earn an accredited and nationally recognised qualification.

What Can I Study Without Grade 12?

You can study our Short Courses and ICB Courses without Matric. If you want to get your Matric, we have an Adult Matric Course that can help you do so. All you need to register for an Adult Matric Course is a Grade 9, Grade 9 Equivalent, or higher qualification.

Where Can I Further My Studies Without Matric?

The following private and distance learning Colleges allow you to enrol to further your studies without Matric:

You can also further your studies at a TVET College if you do not have Matric.

What Can I Do For Living Without Matric?

If you do not have Matric and do not wish to study, you can start your own business selling goods or providing services.

Although it is possible to make a living without a Matric Qualification, we advise you to get your Matric so that you can have more job and study opportunities available to you. This will not only allow you to make a living, but also live comfortably.

Matric is a very important qualification to have, especially in South Africa. It has the power to make a positive and permanent change in your life.

What Can I Study That Is Equivalent To Matric?

What Is The Lowest Pass Level In Matric?

The lowest Matric Pass Level is called the National Senior Certificate Pass. Below is an example of the minimum results you will have to get to obtain this pass level:

English Home Language: 40%
Afrikaans First Additional Language: 40%
Mathematics: 40%
Geography: 40%
Life Orientation: 30%
Physical Sciences: 30%
Life Sciences: 29% (failed result)

Note: You are only allowed to fail one (1) subject, but it may not be your Home Language.
