Introduction to Business English: You will be working closely with people every day. You will also be working with people from different backgrounds. Therefore, it is important to know how to communicate with people in a friendly and professional manner. 

This subject will give you the skills you need to communicate effectively. You will learn about verbal, non-verbal and body language. You will also learn how to write formal letters to your customers, employees as well as potential business partners.

Nail Technology: This subject teaches our students how to care for and enhance their client’s nails. It includes everything you need to know about the history of nails to the structure of the nail. You will also learn how to do:

  • Acrylic nails
  • Fibreglass nails
  • UV Gel nails
  • Manicures and pedicures
  • Nail art

Professional Salon Skills: If you want a managerial position in a nail salon or want to start your own business in nail care, then this subject is for you. Here, you will learn about managing a salon and how to make smart business decisions. 

It also gives you the skills to resolve conflict amongst employees and between staff members.

Nail Care Short Course Assessments

Our Nail Care Short Course has 12 assignments in total. You have to complete each of these subjects to get your Nail Care: Short Course.

Assignments

Each subject for our Nail Care Short Course has (3) three assignments. You have to complete these assignments to get your next subject. You also have to get at least 50% or more for each assignment to pass the subject. Once you have passed the subject, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. This indicates that you have met the criteria for the subject and that you have mastered the skills required for that particular subject.

Exams

There are no exams for this course. You only have to submit your assignments through email. After each subject, our tutors and lecturers will give you comprehensive feedback. This feedback will guide you through the content of each subject you are completing.

Our Nail Care: Short Course is delivered through Skills Academy. Matric College and Skills Academy are in partnership with one another.

Short Nail Care Courses are courses that can be completed in a short period of time. These courses can be completed between (2) two weeks to a year depending on the type, of course, you are completing.
