Skills Academy is a distance learning provider founded by Jan Badenhorst and Tabitha Bailey. Between them they have over 35 years experience in distance learning. Over the years they have developed a number of education related businesses, amongst which Together We Pass and College SA.
Skills Academy is fully Registered and Accredited by the Department of Higher Education, the QCTO, ICB and CIMA.
Matriek Kollege - Afrikaans
Matric Kollege was founded by Jan Badenhorst and Tabitha Bailey in 2019 with a focus on helping working adults gain their Matric Certificate. The focus is currently on offering the Adult Matric. The college plan to gain more accreditations and expand its offering over time, to include other programmes that might be of value to students who never completed their schooling.
Bellview Institute of Distance Learning
Bellview Institute of Distance Learning (previously known as Home Study Group Pty. Ltd.) is accredited by the QCTO to offer a range of NATED (N4 to N6) programmes. These programmes lead to National Certificates and National Diplomas (Diplomas require the completion of 18 months of practical work.)
The Institute was founded (under its previous name) by Tabitha Bailey and Jan Badenhorst early in 2016. This is one of a number of educational institutions founded by them over the past decade. Other education businesses they founded and / or developed includes Together We Pass, College SA, Skills Academy, the Learning Group and Ember College.

The Learning Group
The Learning Group was founded in 1984, and has for most of its existence been owned and managed by Angus Anderson, with the help of a team that included his wife Heather. After partnering with Jan Badenhorst and eventually selling the business, the focus have been on expanding the course offering, and getting accredited by bodies like the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).

Ember Academy
Ember Academy was launched in 2019 with a range of accredited courses from bodies such as CIMA, the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) and the QCTO. Ember aims to be a premier provider of distance learning courses to working adults who want to improve their qualifications, from matric level up to National Diploma level.
