How Do Provider Programmes Work?
Provider Programmes only consist of assignments. This means that you will not be required to write a final exam. You will also not attend any classes for any of our Provider Programmes.
Once you have read through your study material and attempted your first assignment, you may ask our tutors or lecturers for advice.
After submitting your first assignment, you will receive in-depth feedback, which will allow you to see where you need to improve. You can use this to improve on your next assignment or to redo the assignment if you have received less than 50%.
You have to submit (3) three assignments for each subject. Each assignment should be passed with a minimum of 50%. If you do not achieve 50% you can redo your assignment as many times as you like at no added costs involved. Remember that you still have to complete the course within the duration period of the course.
After completing all (3) three assignments for each subject with 50% or more, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, which means that you successfully understand the subject. This means that you can move on to the next subject. All the assignments should be submitted through an email address.

- Contact SAQA directly and ask if the course or institution is accredited

APS Score
Your APS score determines whether you can get admission to a university or even a course within a university. For example, the university might expect you to have an APS Score of 24 Points, but the course that you want to apply for at the university expects you to have an APS Score of 28 Points.
Always research the university before applying and make sure that you get all the information you need about the course you are interested in.
Matric Pass Level

Here are the (4) four Matric Pass Levels:
- Bachelors’ Degree Matric Pass Level – 23 Points
- Diploma Matric Pass Level – 19 Points
- Higher Certificate Matric Pass level – 15 Points
- National Senior Certificate Matric Pass level – 14 Points
The Subjects That Were Chosen In Matric
Each course requires you to have certain subjects, and this will determine whether the university will accept you as a student.
For example, you may be accepted into the university because of your APS Score and Matric Pass Level but if the subjects you have in your Matric Certificate do not match the course expectation then you will not be accepted for that particular course.
This is why certain universities allow students to choose at least (2) two other courses they are interested in. Here is a table with an example of the university’s requirements and your Matric results.
Your Matric Results | What The University Requirements Are |
80% English Home Language 85% First Additional Language 90% Mathematical Literacy 70% Life Orientation 87% Life Science 78% Business Studies 80% Economics The APS Score for this student is: | To gain entry into this Degree Course, you must have the following subjects with these percentages: 60% English Home Language 60% Business Studies 60% Mathematics The APS Score for this course is: 23 Points |
*The highlighted subjects show that the university requires the student to have Mathematics instead of Mathematical Literacy |
