Each Matric Pass Level is unique. Both the Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma Pass are best. However, you have more opportunities when you have a Bachelor’s Degree Pass because it is the highest pass. You can use it to study for a Degree, Diploma or to study a Higher Certificate Course at university.
Please note that a Bachelor’s Degree pass does not mean you have automatic admission to the university. It depends on whether you meet their requirements.
Can You Get Into University With A Diploma Pass?
It depends on the university. While you may qualify for admission to the university, please note that you will not study for a degree. You need a Bachelor’s Degree Pass to study a degree course. You can use a Diploma pass to study for the following courses:

- Certificate Course
If you do not get accepted into a university, you can apply to a college. You will have a better chance of being accepted.
Can I Upgrade My Diploma To A Bachelor’s Degree?
Yes, you can upgrade your Matric Diploma Pass to a Bachelor’s Degree Pass. You can do this through the Upgrade Matric course offered at Matric College. For example, if already have a mark of 40% in your Home Language and 30% for two other subjects, you only have to gain 50% in four subjects to change your Diploma to a Bachelor’s Degree Pass.
