What Does It Mean When You Pass Matric With A Bachelor’s Degree?

If you have passed Matric with a Bachelor’s Degree Pass, it means you have obtained the highest pass in Matric. When you have a Bachelor’s Degree Pass, you can apply to university. However, keep in mind that your acceptance depends on whether you meet the requirements set by the university and the course you are interested in.

For example, you may need to have a Bachelor’s Degree Pass to get admission into the university.  When you have received the admission, you may be expected to have 60% for a certain subject to get entry into the course you want. For example, the university may require 60% of Mathematics for you to study for a Degree in Civil Engineering.

Having a Bachelor’s Degree Pass does not guarantee that you will have access to university. This is because Bachelor’s Degree Passes are different. You may have obtained this pass but still not meet the requirements set at university. This is why you are advised to always aim for higher marks so that you can get into university.

If you want to gain higher marks, you can upgrade them. You can enrol for this course at Matric College and begin studying towards your best marks

Can You Get A Bachelor’s If You Fail One Subject?

Yes, you can obtain a Bachelor’s Degree Pass even if you fail one subject in Matric. You are allowed to fail only one subject and still pass Matric. However, this is not advised. You are encouraged to pass all subjects so that it can help you get into university.

No, a mark of 75% is not considered a distinction pass in Matric. If you want to obtain a distinction pass, you must get a mark of 80% and higher. 75% is a distinction at university.
