A National Diploma is at NQF Level 6. The purpose and exit level outcome is different from a NATED National Diploma. NATED National Qualifications are designed by the Department of Higher Education and Training. These courses were designed to give students both practical and theoretical knowledge, which will make them work-ready. Here is what you can expect from a NATED National Diploma:

  • Theoretical component
  • Practical component

Theoretical Component

This component consists only of theoretical work. This means you will learn about the different assignments and exams you need to complete to gain your NATED National Certificate.

Practical Component

This component only consists of the work experience that you will gain. Most students usually complete this component after they have completed all of the theory work (N4, N5, N6 NATED National Certificates). The 18 months of work experience is extremely important because you have to complete your work experience to get your NATED National Diploma.

A NATED Human Resource Management Course can take between 6-12 months to complete. Here are your options:

  • Complete the theoretical component only

  • Complete the theoretical component and complete the practical component at the same time
  • This can take 6 – 12 months to complete because you will do the theory and practical at the same time
