  • Creating policies
  • Employee performance reviews
  • Benefit packages

Hiring Interns

When you are working as a Human Resource Manager, you are in charge of hiring the new employees in the company. This means you have a chance to give someone an employment opportunity that can change their lives.

By hiring people, you feel good about your work because you have just given someone a source of income.

Creating Policies

When you are working in the Human Resource Management field (HR), you are in charge of creating and updating policies. These are guidelines that the company creates to ensure that employees have rules that will guide them.

Policies are designed to protect the employees and help them work fairly. This means that no matter what race, gender, age or position you are in the company, you are all treated equally. Policies create a form of unity and respect for one another.

By creating the policies, you will be protecting all employees and ensuring that each one works freely because they know there are regulations that protect them. This is one of the best parts of working in HR.

Employee Performance Reviews

When you are managing the staff that you hired in the first place, you want to ensure that there is progress in their work. This is why you handle the employee performance reviews. This is where you sit with each employee and see if there is progress in their work.

If there is little or no progress, you can come up with ways to assist them to become better at their work. You let them know that this should not discourage them, but help them know that this is a chance for them to improve.

Benefit Packages

When you are working in the HR department, you handle benefit packages. These include funds that are distributed throughout the company to employees for different things. Benefit packages can include:

  • Retirement funds
  • Bonus funds
  • Award ceremony funds
  • Overtime payments
  • Life insurance funds

Disciplinary Hearings

When you are working in HR, you are responsible for the well-being of all employees. This means that if an employee goes against the regulations placed to protect the staff, as an HR personnel, you have the right to call them for a disciplinary hearing.

You are allowed to call out an employee on their wrongdoing. However, you should do it professionally in private. Let the employee know where they have done wrong so that they do not repeat the mistakes.

Remind them of the company regulations and let them know that further offences can lead to dismissal.
