Does Remarking, Rechecking Or Viewing My Exam Paper Improve My Marks?

Completing our Matric Rewrite Course is better than rechecking, remarking or viewing your Matric exam paper. This course puts you in control of your marks.

No. Remarking, checking, and viewing your exam paper does not improve your marks. Only a Matric Rewrite can improve your marks. With a rewrite, you can revisit the subjects you struggled with. All rechecking or remarking does, is ensure that the results you receive are accurate.

If you are interested in a rewrite, here is what you need to apply:

  • Be at least 21 years or older
  • Have written the Matric final exam before
  • Understand, read and write English
  • Be comfortable studying through distance learning

Is Matric Remarking, Rechecking And Viewing Worth It?

No, and Yes. Remarking, rechecking and viewing your exam paper depends on whether you need it or not. We only recommend these processes if you believe that you should have gotten better marks. This should include the following factors:

  • You have studied hard
  • Your year marks look good
  • You are not struggling with any of your subjects
  • Your exam sitting was good

If you are sure that the results do not reflect what you knew, you should have passed. Undergoing this process is worth it. However, if you are unsure of your performance, it is rather better to opt to rewrite the subjects you failed.

How Does Remarking, Rechecking And Viewing My Paper Work?

The process is quite simple. To do the remarking, rechecking, or viewing process.  You must have completed the final Matric exam. You can apply for a remark online before the deadline.  Remember you need to provide your valid South African ID number.

Which One Is Better Rechecking Or Remarking?

Both can be useful, depending on why you believe your paper should be remarked or rechecked. Here are some reasons why you should recheck or remark your paper:
