So you want to register for an ICB course after Matric. However, you are not sure how or where to go to do so. Lucky for you, the ICB has a Learner Portal online. This means that you can register from the comfort of your own home. Best of all, there is so much more that you can do on the ICB Learner Portal.

Registering With the Portal

To get started you will need to go to the ICB Learner Portal page. On that page, you will see that you can either log in, or you can click on the button that says register. Once you have clicked that button you will need to fill in a few details. You will need to do the following

  • Choose if you are already registered ICB or not.
  • Create your username.
  • Create your password.
  • Type in your email address.
  • Choose whether you have a South African ID or a foreign ID.
  • Fill in your  ID number.
  • Fill in your ICB Reference number (You only need to do this if you are already a registered ICB student).

After you have filled in those details on the portal page you will be taken to a series of new pages. You will need to fill in all the information that is asked for. Once you finish filling in all the pages and information that you need to, you will officially be a registered ICB student.

What Else can I do on the Portal?

Once you are a registered ICB student the portal opens up a huge range of options. You can register for a course, register for your exams, check your results, pay for your studies and more.

Registering for a Course

Click on the “Register for Course” tab on the portal home screen. You will be able to choose one of the five ICB study programmes that the ICB has on offer. These are Business Management, Financial Accounting, Public Sector Accounting, Entrepreneurship, and Office Management. When you choose your course you will have to select a training provider.

Registering for Your Exams

On the “Enter Assessment” tab you will be able to register for an ICB exam. Select the subject, then select your closest ICB exam venue. You can register for more than one exam at a time. On the righthand panel on the screen, you will see all the costs being added together. This shows you how much you will need to pay for all your assessments.

Paying Using the Portal

There is a tab called “Order Products”. If you go there you will see all your course and exam fees. Here you can “checkout” and pay for everything. The ICB lets you pay in one of three ways. You can either use EFT, a credit card, or SnapScan to pay your fees.

In Conclusion

The ICB Learner Portal is a wonderful tool that allows you to not only handle your ICB registration. It also lets you manage your studies more easily. All the information you need is in one place and it is easy to access. If you are planning on registering for an ICB course don’t forget to make use of this awesome tool.
