Before getting your Matric results, there are many things you should know. The first important thing would be that Matric is an important year in your educational journey. It determines whether you will make it to university or not. This means you must dedicate yourself to your studies so that you can pass with good marks.

How Can I Pass Matric With Good Results?

If you are doing Matric in High School, you can pass with good results if you dedicate yourself to all of your subjects. There are seven subjects that you will complete in Matric. You must pass all subjects because they are all important. To do this, you must follow these steps:

  • Step 2: Complete your school work 
  • Step 3: Get ready for the exam 

Study With Understanding 

The key to passing any subject is understanding. If you have understanding, you will easily answer questions in tests, assignments and exams. You must study all your subjects to understand. Do not spend your time cramming information when you should be understanding it. 

If you have challenges understanding your school work, you should speak to your teachers. You will receive assistance and be able to understand. You can also ask your other students to assist you, either at school or at home

Complete Your School Work 

There are class assessments that count as 25% towards your final mark. You must take these tasks seriously. They are there to help you boost your final exam marks. These assessments are done in class throughout the year. They include: 

  • Tests 
  • June Examination 
  • Trial examination 
  • Oral presentation 
  • Assignments 

If you do well in your assessments, you will have a high chance of passing Matric

Get Ready For The Exam 

The final examination is important as it counts 75% towards your final results. This assessment holds the most marks. You must prepare for this exam in time. You can use past exam papers to get your mind ready for the exam questions.

To pass the exam, you must earn at least 50% in each subject. Obtaining at least 50% raises your chance of getting admission into the university. 

How Can I Pass Without Studying?

You cannot pass without studying. The best way to understand your subjects in Matric is through studying. This is where you gain knowledge. If you do not study, you will have a high chance of failing Matric. 

If you are lazy to study alone, you can do it with other students. Try to prioritise most of your studies in school during your studies or when there is no teacher in class. You can also join a study group where you will study with other students. 

Please note that each student has their own studying style. Find your style and use it to study best. 

What Makes A Good Student?

A student who values school has the following qualities: 

  • Does not skip school 
  • Takes notes in the classroom 
  • Asks helpful questions in class 
  • Listens attentively 
  • Assists other students in class 
  • Does their homework 
  • Aim for high marks

What Is A Good Pass In Matric?

A good pass in Matric is if you receive at least 50% marks in all subjects. If you get this, you will obtain the highest pass in Matric which is a Bachelor’s Degree Pass. However, you can also pass Matric if you obtain any of the following Matric Certificate Passes:
