Can I Get A Degree Without Matric?
No, you cannot get a Degree without Matric in South Africa. To gain admission to a university in South Africa, you must have a Matric Qualification. Universities look at the following factors before they consider your application:
- Whether you have passed with a Bachelor’s Degree Admission. Some universities will accept a Diploma Matric Pass Level, but this means that you can only apply for a Diploma Course and in some instances a Higher Certificate Course.
- If your APS Score matches the university’s needs. The course that you choose will have a separate APS Score requirement.
- The subjects you have chosen in High School. For example, at some universities, if you study Psychology, you will get exempted from the Computer module if you have completed Computer Application Technology (CAT) in High School.
Can I Study A Bridging Course Without Matric?
Yes, you can study our bridging course without Matric. Here are the entry requirements for our ICB Bridging Course:
- Be 16 or older
- Have a Grade 10 Certificate
- A Recognised and registered NQF Level 3 Qualification
- Understand, read and write English
- Study through distance learning
Can I Study Office Administration Without Matric?
Yes, you can study Office Administration without Matric. You can apply with a Matric or Matric Equivalent Certificate. Here are the entry requirements for our ICB Office Administration Programme:
- Be 16 or older
- Have a Grade 12 Certificate
- A Recognised and registered NQF Level 4 Qualification
- Any of our Matric Equivalent Certificates
- Understand, read and write English
- Study through distance learning
Which Course Has The Shortest Duration?
The course with the shortest duration at Matric College is our First Aid Concepts: Certificate Course. This course takes between (3) to (6) months to complete.
How Will I Be Assessed For Each Course?
Our Short Courses are assessed differently from our ICB Courses. Below you will find a table explaining how Short Courses will be assessed:

You will receive a certificate for completing each subject. If you fail a subject, you can redo the assignment. This will be at no cost to you, however, you have to ensure that the subjects are submitted before the duration of your course ends. There will be no exams for any of our Short Courses, and you will submit all of your assignments through email. |

You will submit assignments directly to us, and we will help you study by providing you with past papers and other resources that can assist you in becoming a successful student | You may complete the subjects that you would like to improve. This will vary from one student to the next. You can complete this course between three months and 24 months. This also depends on how quick you can learn. If you apply at the beginning of the year, you can complete the course between three and six months because the exams are in May and June. |
