If you have Matric, you can study at Matric College. We have many courses that you can study. Each course has its unique qualities. Below is a list of the courses you can study and the qualities they have:
NATED Courses
You can study NATED Courses if you have Matric. NATED Courses are best if you are looking to gain employment easily. These courses were created by the DHET themselves to assist graduates in gaining employment.
The DHET saw an unemployment gap and decided to resolve this by creating courses that could help unemployed graduates find employment. When you study NATED Courses, you obtain components that employers are looking for. This is knowledge and work experience.
If you study an entire NATED Programme at Matric College, you study four (4) courses. These courses help you gain knowledge because you must complete assignments and exams to pass. The last course helps you gain work experience because you are required to work at a company for 18 months in order to pass this course.
By the time you finish a NATED Course, you will have four (4) Qualifications, knowledge and 18 months of work experience. This will help you gain employment. These are the NATED Courses you can study:
ICB Courses
You can study ICB Courses if you have Matric. ICB Courses are best if your goal is to get employed or start a business. These courses were designed by the ICB to increase your chance of becoming an employee or entrepreneur.
When you enrol for an ICB Course, you are enabled with knowledge and skills that are in demand in South Africa. This makes you a candidate that is unique and raises your chances of getting hired.
When you complete an ICB Course, you gain relevant knowledge scarce skills and qualifications that are accredited. These are the ICB Courses you can study:
Short Courses
You can study our Short Courses with a Matric Certificate. Short Courses are best if you want to become an entrepreneur or find employment. These courses focus on improving your skills so that you can meet the demands of the workplace.

Upgrade Matric Course
You can use a Matric Certificate to study the Upgrade Matric Course. You will be able to upgrade your Matric marks. You should work hard to gain good marks. This will help you have a better chance of going to university because they accept students with good marks.
When you have completed the Upgrade Matric Course, you will gain a Matric Certificate. Use this to study at university for the course you want.
Study At University
You can use your Matric Qualification to enrol for a course at university. Please note that you need a Bachelor’s Degree Pass to study. However, this does not guarantee your acceptance. There are other requirements you must meet in order to study.
Find Employment
You can use a Matric Qualification to get employment. There are various careers that only require a Matric Certificate. These are:

Gain A Bursary
If you have a Matric Certificate, you can qualify to earn a bursary. Most bursary opportunities require you to have a Matric Certificate with good marks. If you earn this opportunity, you can study at university with your fees all paid. This decreases your chance of getting stressed financially.

National Senior Certificate Pass Level
Requirements for the National Senior Certificate Pass:
- A minimum of 40% in your home language
- A minimum of 30% in two other subjects
- A minimum of 30% in three subjects
- You can fail one subject
Why Is A Bachelor's Pass In Matric Important?
A Bachelor’s Degree Pass is important because it is the Certificate Pass that universities accept. Some universities also accept a Diploma Pass. However, your chances are higher if you have a Bachelor’s Degree Pass.
Can You Go To University With A Higher Certificate?
No, you can not study at a university with a Higher Certificate Pass. You can study at a college with a Higher Certificate Pass. To study at university, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree Pass and you need to meet other requirements set by the university in order to study.
How Is Life After Matric?
Life after Matric is good because you have options to consider. If you have passed your Matric, you are able to get employment and earn an income that helps you provide for yourself. You are also able to study further and pursue a career that you love.
