I Do Not Have A Grade 10 Certificate, What Can I Do?

You can apply for your Adult Matric. If you do not have a Grade 10 Certificate, but a Grade 9 Certificate, you can apply to study for your Adult Matric at Matric College. Here are the entry requirements to enter this programme:

You must have a Grade 9 Certificate or an Equivalent

I Do Not Have A Grade 9 Certificate, What Can I Do?

You can apply for ABET Levels at a training centre. These are the ABET levels you can study for:

  • ABET 1: Grade 3
  • ABET 2: Grade 5
  • ABET 3: Grade 7
  • ABET 4: Grade 9 (or NQF level 1)

After completing the ABET levels, you will start with NQF levels (You can complete these at Matric College). These are:

  • NQF 2: Grade 10 Certificate or Equivalent
  • NQF 3: Grade 11 Certificate or Equivalent
  • NQF 4: Grade 12 Certificate or Equivalent

After you have completed your ABET Levels and achieved your Grade 9 Equivalent Certificate, you can apply for your Adult Matric Certificate. An Adult Matric Certificate is Equivalent to a Grade 12 Certificate.
