Financial Management: NATED N5 National Certificate Assessments
The following assessments are included in the Financial Management: NATED N5 National Certificate:
- Assignments
- Exams
Each subject in the course will have assignments and exams. To qualify for the exams, you have to pass your assignments with at least 40%.
Assignments
You have to complete three Assignments before you write the final exams. These assignments will allow you to gain entry into the exam. You must meet an average of 40% to qualify for the final exam.
NOTE: Each subject has three assignments. You will have three opportunities to qualify for the final exam.
Exams
You can register for the exam two times in a year if you qualify. Here are the months for registration:

- You will write the exam in May OR June
- August: registration for the exam is open during August
- You will write the exam in October OR November

Further Your Studies At Matric College
You can continue your studies at Matric College. You must complete 18 months of work experience to get your Financial Management NATED N6 National Diploma. Step 4: Get your N6 National Diploma after your 18 months of work experience |
As you are completing your 18 months of work experience you should use the logbook Matric College provides. The Logbook will have specific duties that should be signed off by the Manager of the company you are completing your work experience. NOTE: You can complete your work experience in sections. This means that you can complete 6 months of experience at one company and the other 12 months at another company. The logbook must be signed off with the following details:

Step 5: Submit your completed logbook to Matric College |
You have to complete the 18 months work experience and provide us with the logbook. We will then submit the logbook to the Department of Higher Education and Training for approval. Once they have approved your logbook, they will send you your N6 National Diploma. NOTE: Your completed logbook will provide us and the Department of Higher Education and Training with reliable evidence that you have completed your work experience. |
Financial Management N4 – N6 courses are the National Qualifications (NATED) that were designed by the Department of Higher Education and Training. In order to earn the N National Diploma, students must complete both theoretical and practical components of all of these courses.
National Certificates start at an NQF Level 5 and move up to an NQF Level 6. An N6 NATED Diploma Qualification is at an NQF Level 6 which is just one level below a Degree.
