What You Need To Know About The Matric Exam Timetable

The following mentions everything you need to know about the 2022 Matric Exam timetable:

  • The October/November NSC Exam will officially start on Monday, 31 October 2022. The last paper will be written on Wednesday, 07 December 2022.
  • There are (2) two exam sessions. The morning session starts at 09:00 and the afternoon session starts at 14:00.

Why Do I Need An Exam Timetable?

Here are a few reasons why you need an exam timetable:

  • Study planning. A Matric Exam timetable will help you create and implement a study schedule.
  • Keep track of the days you write the exam. If you do not have a Matric Exam timetable, you will not know when you have to write your exams. If you miss an exam, you will have to wait until the next year to write the subject or subjects you missed.
  • Be on time for your exam. The Matric exam timetable has times on it that indicate what time you will write. You will then be able to plan your commute to and from your exam venue. If you are late for your exam, you may not be allowed to write your exam.
NOTE:
It is important to double-check the exam dates. Check your timetable again closer to the time of your exam.

How Can The Matric Exam Timetable Help Me?

The Matric Exam Timetable can help you prepare for your Matric Exams.

You can single out the subjects that you write and draw up a new timetable. This will make it easier to see which subjects you will write on which days.

The duration of each question paper is also on your timetable next to each subject. By analysing your timetable, you will know exactly how much time you will have to complete your exam, and that allows you to study efficiently.

If you are using Matric Past Papers to prepare for your exams, you can sit for the duration that is on the timetable and see how far you will get.

How Long Are The Matric Exams?

The Matric Exam period is (6) six weeks long.

The exam paper durations vary from subject to subject. The duration for each exam can last up to the following time frames:

  • 1,5 (one and a half) hours
  • 2 hours
  • 2,5 (two and a half) hours
  • 3 hours

How Can I Prepare For My Matric Exams?

Here are a few tips that will help you prepare for your Matric Exams:

  • Use Matric Past Papers. Using Matric Past Papers is a great way to prepare for your exam. You will get a practice run and see how well you would do. You will also get an understanding of which sections of work you need to spend more time with when studying.
  • Get other exam resources. Exam resources are available to download for free from our website. You can use it to get Matric Exam Guidelines that will assist you while you study.
  • Make study notes. Making notes from your textbooks and using them to study will be more effective than studying directly from your textbook. Your study notes can be personalised, and you can get information and graphics from other sources that will benefit you while you study.
  • Do not study the night before your exam. Cramming information in the night before your exam is not a good idea. You should start studying and revising for your exam months or weeks in advance to get a good understanding of your work. You will also remember and be able to recall the information better.
  • Look after your health. The state of your physical and mental well-being will have an impact on your academic performance and your quality of studying. If you are healthy and happy, you will study better.

Were There June Exams In 2022?

Yes, the 2022 May/June Exams have already been written.
