  • Double check that your exam number is correct. If you send the wrong exam number, you will not receive your Matric results.

Can I Get My Matric Results With My ID Number?

Yes, you can get your Matric results with your ID number. When using this method, you also need to provide your exam number. Here is what you need to do:

 
  • Open a new message on your phone
  • Enter your ID number and exam number. Both are 13-digit numbers.
  • Send this SMS to the following number: 35658
  • Get your Matric results as soon as they are available

  • Add a space between your exam number and ID number

You have passed Matric if you meet these minimum requirements:

 
  • 40% for your Home Language
  • 40% for two other subjects
  • 30% for the rest of your subjects
  • You may fail only (1) one subject
