After a few weeks or months, you will get your hard copy, which will be your Matric Certificate that will be valid forever.

If you do not agree with what is on your Matric statement of results, you can do the following while awaiting your hard copy:

  • Apply for a recheck: This is when an examiner checks all of your marks to see if it is marked correctly and to ensure that the mark allocation is correct.
      • The cost of a recheck is R25 per paper (The cost may change yearly).
  • Apply for a remark: This is when the examiner marks your exam paper thoroughly to make sure that the marking is fair.
      • The cost of a recheck is R110.00 per paper (The cost may change yearly)
  • View your exam paper: If you want to view your exam paper and ensure that it has been checked and marked correctly, then this option is for you. This process can only be completed once you have rechecked and remarked your paper.
