Matric June 2020 Exams

Have you registered for the Matric June 2020 Exams? If yes, Matric College would like to help you. Below we have some guidelines and advice on how to prepare for your exams and the options available to you thereafter.

What is the Matric June 2020 Exam?

The matric June 2020 exam is a second chance at matric. If you wrote your matric final exams the year before and received results you were dissatisfied with, then a supplementary exam will benefit you. After registering your chosen subjects, you will be given the opportunity to study and take the exam again. This gives you a chance to improve your marks. Do keep in mind that although you will rewrite the same subject, it won’t be the same question paper.

Who Qualifies for the Matric June 2020 Exam?

If you wrote your matric exams in 2019, you can register to write the Matric June  2020 exam. Are you a student who wrote your matric exams 5 years ago? Well we have good news for you too. You can still apply to write an amended exam 2020. Isn’t that amazing? The amended matric exam will take place the same time as the matric supplementary exam.

How do I Qualify for a Matric Rewrite?

If you failed matric, you qualify to rewrite the matric exams.  You can then register to rewrite as many subjects as you like, but they have to be the subjects you did before. The Department of Education understands that there can be other valid reasons that might have led to you not achieving your matric certificate.

You Also Qualify for a Matric Rewrite if:

  • You were unable to write your paper on the exam day due to medical reasons. A medical certificate has to be provided as evidence.
  • There was a death in your immediate family. A death certificate has to be submitted with your supplementary application.
  • You were accepted to an institution of higher education but your final results do not meet the entry requirements. Evidence will have to be provided when you apply for the supplementary exam.

When Will the Matric June 2020 Exam Take Place?

Minister of Education Angie Motshekga has announced that the matric 2020 exam will start on May 4 and end on June 11. Have a look at the timetable and mark off your subjects as a reminder

How to Prepare for a Rewrite

Knowing how to prepare for your matric rewrite is extremely important. You are given a second chance and this means that you shouldn’t take it lightly. The best way to ace your exams is to thoroughly prepare well in advance and not to stress. With a good support system, study materials and a positive attitude, nothing could go wrong.

Get a Tutor

You might think that having a tutor for subjects you did for years in high school is unnecessary. However this is not the case. A tutor can show you a new way of studying or thinking about a subject. With the help of a tutor you can revisit sections you found challenging while studying.

Past Matric Exam Papers

Past matric exam papers are one of the best study materials you can use. As an added bonus, these past papers are absolutely free. You can simply download the papers you need, along with the memos straight to your cellphone or computer.  If you are unsure of where to get past matric exam papers, institutions such as Matric College will have them printed out and sent to you.

Start as Soon as Possible

Once you have registered and qualified for your supplementary exam, start studying immediately. Set up a realistic study timetable and a plan of action. This means mapping out the questions you found the hardest during the test or what papers you thought was the most difficult to do.

When Will the Matric June 2020 Exam Results be Released?

Luckily you won’t have to wait for your results long after you write. The matric 2020 rewrite results will be released by the end of July. With the results being released so early you have enough time to further your education.

Can I Study After Getting my Matric June 2020 Exam Results?
