Matric College Offers ICB Courses

You can study one of our ICB Courses with or without a Matric Qualification. You will gain knowledge and skills that are in demand through these courses.

You can study the above ICB Financial Accounting Courses and ICB Business Management Courses without Matric. For the ICB Office Administration Courses, you need a Matric Certificate or a Matric Equivalent Certificate.

Can I Study Office Administration Without Matric?

Yes, you can study ICB Office Administration Courses without Matric. You must either have a Matric Certificate or Matric Equivalent Certificate. If you want to study for one of these qualifications, you can apply for the following courses: 

Adult Matric Course

You can use a Grade 9 or Grade 9 Equivalent Qualification to study the Adult Matric Course. If you are 21 years or older, you are able to enrol for this course. Through this course, you will obtain knowledge and a Matric Certificate. You can use this certificate to apply for the ICB Office Administration Courses

Matric Equivalent Course 

There are two types of Matric Equivalent Courses we offer, that you can enrol for. You can choose one of the following Matric Equivalent Courses depending on the qualification you have: 

Small Business Financial Management: ICB National Certificate

You can enrol for this course with a Grade 11 or Grade 11 Equivalent Qualification. When you finish the course, you will be awarded a Matric Equivalent Qualification. You can then use this qualification to study the ICB Office Administration Courses

Bookkeeping: ICB FET Certificate

You can study this course if you have a Grade 10 or Grade 10 Equivalent Qualification. On completion of this course, you will be awarded a qualification that is equivalent to Grade 11. This qualification is known as the Bookkeeping: ICB National Certificate

You can use the Bookkeeping: ICB National Certificate to study the Bookkeeping: ICB FET Certificate. When you have completed studying the Bookkeeping: ICB FET Certificate, you will be awarded a Matric Equivalent Certificate. You will be able to use this to enrol for the Office Administration Courses.

What Is An ICB Qualification?

An ICB Qualification is awarded to you when you have completed your studies in an ICB Course. This qualification is printed by FASSET and then sent to the ICB, which sends it to us. When we receive this qualification, we award it to you. 

You can use an ICB Qualification to study further, open a business or get employment.

Are ICB Qualifications Recognised?

Yes, ICB Qualifications are recognised both nationally and internationally. This means you can use an ICB Qualification to either further your education or work in South Africa or abroad. For example, there are professional bodies based in the United Kingdom where you can further your education: 

  • ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) 
  • CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) 
  • IAB (International Association of Bookkeepers) 
  • IAAP (International Association of Accounting Professionals)

Where Should I Go After ICB?

Once you have completed an ICB Course, you can use the qualification you have received to do the following: 

Study Further 

You can use your ICB Qualification to study further through an institution that recognises ICB Qualifications. There are different institutions where you can further your studies with an ICB Qualification: 

  • Boston College 
  • Damelin 
  • Milpark Education

Please also note that you can also further your studies abroad. You can do this through institutions that recognises ICB Qualifications. An example would be, CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). 

Open A Business 

ICB Qualifications are best if you want to open a business. This is because all ICB Courses offer business skills and knowledge. You can use these to open your business and manage it successfully. 

Get Employment 

An ICB Qualification can assist you in finding work. As someone who studied an ICB Course, you will have scarce skills, business knowledge and a qualification that is accredited by the ICB and the QCTO.
