Matric Exam Results: Limpopo

To get your Matric results, you can go to the Department of Basic Education website, check newspapers or visit your previous High School or Matric exam Centre.

Limpopo has achieved a Matric pass rate of between 60% and 80% in the past five (5) years. Last year, they obtained 66.7%. There was a drop of 1.5%. However, the Limpopo class of 2022 still has a chance to raise the passing bar.

How Can I Check My Matric Results Online In Limpopo?

To check your Matric results online for Limpopo, you can follow these simple steps: 

  1. Check out the Department of Basic Education (DBE) Website 
  2. Choose “Exam results” from menu 
  3. Please press the NSC exam results button 
  4. As requested, please include your exam number
  5. Please add more personal information if necessary
  6. To begin searching, click the search button 
  7. As soon as the results are available, you will see them

How Can I Get My Matric Results Via SMS Limpopo?

You can get your results Matric results through the SMS options this way: 

  • Open the SMS section of your smartphone
  • Write your examination number in the SMS

  • You will be charged R1.50 for sending the SMS (please note this fee may change at any moment) 
  • Your Matric results will be sent to you once they are available

How Do I Get My Matric Results

There are different ways in which you can access your Matric results. This includes the methods listed below:  

  • USSD 
  • High School  
  • Newspaper 

USSD

  • Go to the dialling pad on your smartphone 
  • Dial *120*35659# (this code may change at any time) 
  • Enter personal details that are required 
  • Fill in the required details until you can see your Matric results 

High School

Visit the High School where you completed your Matric. This can also include the exam centre where you wrote your Matric final examination. They will be able to provide you with your Matric results. You can call them before you visit them to see when you can access your results

Newspaper

There are different newspapers that release Matric results yearly. Some of these include: 

As soon as the Department of Basic Education (DBE) releases the Matric results, different newspapers also release these results. Please note that results are released at the beginning of the year usually in January. 

Please note that newspapers follow the Protection of Personal Information (POPI Act). This means that your personal details will not be published in the newspapers to protect your identity. 

Will Matric Results Be Published In Newspapers?

Yes, Matric results will be released in the newspapers, just as they are every year. You can get these at the beginning of the year as soon as the results are released by the Department of Basic Education (DBE).

Can I Get My Matric Results With My ID Number?

You can use your Identity Document (ID) to get your Matric results by doing it in the following way: 

  • Open the Apple Play Store or Google Play Store on your cellphone 
  • Put in your examination number as required 
  • Also, include your identification number 
  • You will see your Matric results as soon as they are available

How Do You Get A Statement Of Results?

You get a statement of results when you pass Matric. If you happen to lose this statement of results, you can get a new one. However, this is not necessary since the statement is a temporary document. The only document that is permanent is your Matric Certificate

To get a new statement of results, you can apply through the Department of Basic Education (DBE) by doing the following: 

  • Visit the Department of Basic Education (DBE) or Provincial Department of Education offices 
  • Explain that you are requesting a Matric statement of results
  • You will get a form for the temporary Matric statement of results 
  • Submit this form with the documents below 
    • Your original ID card/book
    • Your certified ID copy 

You can also complete the process above online. Here is how you can do it:  

  • Register your personal details on this internet site (www.eservices.gov.za)
  • Download the form by selecting their link 
  • Fill out the form and include the documents requested 
  • Pay a fee of R55, and provide proof of payment (You can access the bank details in the form you downloaded). Please remember that the fee is subject to change
  • The documents should be sent to the following address (Private Bag X895, Pretoria, 0001)

How Many Subjects Do I Need To Pass Matric?

What Happens If You Fail Two Subjects In Matric?

If you fail two subjects in Matric you fail the class. You will have to rewrite the final Matric examination. To do this, you can apply for the Rewrite Matric Course at Matric College. This course allows you to rewrite the Matric final examination.
