Tips and tricks for passing IEB Visual Arts

Studying for exams can be tricky but you don’t have to do it alone. Here are some tips and tricks to help you pass your visual arts exam: 

  • Know your artists: Knowing your artists is an important part of your examination scope. Make sure you’ve memorised the artists, their work and their styles to make sure that you do well in your exam! 
  • Know the theory behind it: Art is also a practical subject. Make sure that you know all the theory behind the practical side of things to be able to fully understand and answer the questions! Do a little bit everyday. 
  • Practise past papers: Past papers are a great way for you to learn which learning areas you need to dedicate more time to!  
  • Try a study group: Study groups are a great way for you to learn new information from your friends that you might not have in your notes! It’s also a great opportunity for you to explain the theory out loud and see if you truly understand it.
