All of these courses offer students the best skill sets to help them on their employment journey. These programmes give students essential skills that can help them find a good job with respectable pay whilst also giving them relevant, practical and valuable knowledge.

Learning Programme

For each subject there will be 3 learning phases:

  • Phase 1: Made up of 1x assignment and 1x test.
  • Phase 2: Made up of 1x assignment and 1x test.
  • Phase 3: 1 assignment followed by a final assessment or exam. This counts 70%.

To pass the subject you must achieve 60% or higher.

Assignment 1 and 3 are online and auto-marked whilst the 3rd assignment is downloadable and must be completed before the exam date. The final ICB exam is either online or paper-based depending on the subject.

5 Reasons to Choose ICB

Here are 5 reasons why you should choose ICB:

  • High-Quality Learning Experience: Each course has been carefully planned to give you the best chance of success. ICB also makes sure to include textbooks, workbooks and study support.
  • Flexible study timetable: You can choose between full-time, part-time or after-hours studying. You also have a choice between classroom or distance learning.
  • Your Pace: You choose when to study. Work at your own pace and choose when you write your final exams.
  • Quick Achievements: After completing a few subjects, you will have your first qualification.
  • NQF Registered: These highly accredited qualifications are known countrywide by employers.

Reputable and Registered

Each and every qualification offered by ICB are registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). ICB is also a Quality Assurance Partner for the Quality Council for Trade Occupations (QCTO).

Our NQF aligned certificates are issued by the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and training authority (Fasset).

These internationally recognised qualifications are held in high regard by employers, giving graduates a better chance at finding a job.

You can build on each of your qualifications and extend your skillset as your career progresses.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you have completed an NQF qualification in the last 5 years, you could apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) with ICB. If older than 5 years, you must provide relevant proof of work experience.

All applications will be revised and ICB will let you know if you meet the RPL criteria.

Opportunities and ICB

Partnerships with Boston, CIMA, ACCA, Damelin and Milpark means that students can be credited when acquiring their NQF6 qualification. Read more here
