Yes, rewriting Matric is a good idea. Here is why:

Have New Subjects On Your Certificate

Even if you have passed your Matric, you can add new subjects to your Matric Certificate. This will expand your options when applying for courses at tertiary institutions. It could be even an advantage when applying for certain jobs.

If, for example, you already have a Bachelor’s pass, and you want to add subjects, you can. But bear in mind that you will not be allowed to combine your old marks with your new marks because you already have the highest pass level

What this means is that you will have two Matric Certificates. One Certificate with old marks and the other Certificate with the new marks.

Improve Your Pass Marks

A Matric Rewrite can improve your marks if you are not happy with the marks that you attained in the last exam. For example, if you are not happy with the 50% mark that you got in the Physical Sciences subject and want to achieve an 80% mark, you can aim to improve your mark through rewriting.

If you completed your Matric before 2008, you can still improve your marks in any subject that you want to. If you pass your Matric, you will receive a Senior Certificate (Amended) that is issued by Umalusi. It is the same as the National Senior Certificate (NSC).

By rewriting the subjects that you will have failed in your previous attempt, you can go from a fail to a pass.

You can change your subjects when you are rewriting Matric. Here is why you can change your subjects:

What Are The Requirements For Matric Rewrite?

At Matric College we offer Matric Rewrite, which we refer to as the Matric Upgrade Programme. Here are the requirements:

Yes, you can rewrite your Matric online, but you can not write the actual exams online. You can study your Matric Rewrite online. Distance learning is a form of online learning. How Long Does It Take To Rewrite Matric?

A number of factors come into play to determine how long it will take you to study for your Matric rewrite. However, bear in mind that Matric is a three-year course. For example, let us suppose that you want to rewrite 5 subjects. You are employed full time.

What is possible is that you can register for three subjects first and write after a year. Then the next year, register and write two subjects. So it can take you two years to rewrite five subjects.

How Many Subjects Do I Need To Pass Matric?

To pass Adult Matric, you must pass five subjects. National Senior Certificate learners need to pass 6 of the 7 subjects that they write.
