How Can I Pass Matric With Distinctions?

You can pass Matric with distinctions if you choose Matric subjects that you enjoy, have an interest in and are passionate about. This way you will want to study more.

Studying also plays an important part in passing Matric with distinctions. You have to put in the time to study, this can be between 3-6 hours a week. With studying comes a strict timetable for yourself.

You should have someone that knows about the timetable to ensure that you are studying the times you have set out for yourself.

If you study every day, you will learn what you are not familiar with.

This means that you also need to listen in class, join in activities and ask your Teacher questions to gain more knowledge on the subject.

Most importantly, stay motivated and surround yourself with the same goal.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, you cannot go to university with any ABET Levels. These levels only go up to ABET Level 4, which is at an NQF Level 1. This NQF Level is equivalent to a Grade 9.

You can however, complete our Adult Matric Course with your ABET Level 4 and then gain admission to university if you have passed with the necessary requirements.

Most universities are looking at the following aspects:

  1. Your APS Score
  2. The Matric subjects that you chose
  3. The percentages you have received for those subjects

If you fail two (2) subjects in Matric, you fail Matric. You may only fail one subject in Matric. The subject that you fail should not be your Home Language.

You can improve your marks with our Matric Rewrite Course and go from a failed mark to a passed mark. All you need is proof that you have completed the final Matric exam.

If you fail Maths in Matric, you will still pass Matric. This is if you pass the rest of your subjects. You are allowed to fail at least one subject in Matric.

The pass mark for Maths in Matric is 30% in South Africa. This does not mean that universities will accept you with a 30% pass rate. Most universities want a pass mark of 50% and higher.

We always encourage our students to improve their marks, and by doing so, they will gain admission to university.

You can rewrite your Matric any time of the year when you study through Matric College. Our exams are in May and June every year.
