Who Is ICB?

ICB is an accredited and recognised Independent External Examinations Body. ICB offers financial  and management courses that are provided through training providers. Matric College is one of those training providers. Our accreditation reference number is: 301290.

Are ICB Qualifications Recognised?

Yes, ICB Qualifications are recognised by employers globally. Here are some of the international accredited professional bodies:

  • ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) based in the UK
  • CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) based in the UK

Why Should I Study An ICB Course?

You should study an ICB Course because all of ICB’s Courses are South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) registered. This means that you can use the SAQA ID number of these courses and search it on the SAQA website.

Benefits Of Studying At Matric College

Matric College is a distance learning college that provides accredited ICB Courses that can take your career to the next level! These are the advantages of studying at Matric College:

  • You have a flexible study schedule. You can study whenever you have the time to study. This allows you to take your time and not feel rushed.
  • Register any time. You can register for our distance learning courses whenever you are ready.
  • Work and study. Do not quit your job to study with us because we do not have physical classes. You will only submit your PoE via the ICB Student Portal.
  • Study in a short period of time. Our shortest ICB Course is 9 months long, and you will only complete (3) three subjects.
  • Get the textbooks delivered to your door. We will send you the necessary textbooks to study.
  • Get Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If you complete one ICB Course and would like to complete another ICB Course from a different ICB Programme, you can do so. ICB will exempt you from the subjects that you have already studied. Here is a table explaining how this works:

If you would like to complete your Matric, you can also apply at Matric College. We provide two Matric Courses:

    1. Adult Matric:  Apply for this course if you do not have Matric
      • Apply if you are 21 and older
      • Apply with a Grade 9 Certificate
    2. Matric Upgrade: Apply for this course if you have failed Matric or would like to improve your Matric marks
      • Apply with your failed or passed Matric Certificate

How Hard Is The Certified Bookkeeper Exam?

The Certified Bookkeepers exam is extremely hard. This is because they have set a certain standard of education. To pass the exams, you need to do the following:

  • Complete the PoE and get 50% and above to qualify for the exams
  • Get at least 50% and more for the final exam

You should also have the following qualities:

  • Dedicated
  • Passionate about what you are studying
