Breakthrough In Matric Exam Paper Leak Investigation

Since the start of the matric examinations, two examination papers have been leaked. The Hawks have since made one arrest in relation to the leaked Mathematics examinations paper.

Here is everything you need to know about the breakthrough in the matric exam paper leak investigation:

  • The Hawks have arrested a man connected to the leak: A 31-year-old male by the name of Themba Daniel Shikwambana has been arrested in connection to the leak of Mathematics Paper 2. 
  • The accused works for a company that prints examination papers: Shikwambana works at a printing company that is responsible for printing this year’s matric examination papers. This was where the paper was stolen and then leaked. 
  • The accused appeared in court on Thursday: Shikwambana appeared in court on Thursday the 26th of November.
  • The accused had a bail hearing scheduled for Monday the 1st: The accused’s bail hearing took place yesterday.
  • The other perpetrators are yet to be found: The investigations into the leaks of the other matric examination paper continues
