2021 Practical Assessment Tasks

2021 Practical Assessment Tasks

PAT’s or Practical Assessment Tasks are assignments set in specific subjects by the Department of Basic Education. The purpose of each PAT is to form part of the CAPS curriculum for students completing their National Senior Certificates.

The PAT marks add 25% to the end year examination marks. Each PAT is implemented into the curriculum for the first 3 terms of the final year. PAT’s also make it possible for teachers to assess skills that cannot be assessed in written form.

Here is a breakdown of all the PAT’s.
